Essential Oils Therapy

Students are trained with the spirit of respect for the classical approach as well as allowing for an integration of the contemporary and innovative exploration of this (re)emerging therapeutic field. Creative professional Holistic Health Practitioners who have developed a unique integration of essental oils with their complementary therapy specialty lecture on topics to include massage, energywork, day spa applications for enhancement of skin, hair and body, transpersonal and spiritual aromatherapy, hypnosis, dream work, movement, and feng shui (creating sacred space).

Students are carefully guided through development and awareness of scope of practice issues, safe usage and contraindications, practical, intuitive and artistically creative guidelines to allow their essential oil and aromatherapy practice to flourish.

Essential Oils Therapy I

This 30-hour training prepares students to work with essential oils either in an aromatherapy practice or combined with other modalities such as bodywork or hypnosis. Students learn to do an effective intake and are able to create personalized blends for physical, emotional and spiritual issues. Instruction is firmly grounded in the client-centered approach, including scope of practice and related professional topics. This class is a prerequisite for Essential Oils II and Essential Oils Massage.

Essential Oils II: Applications of Essential Oils and Aromatherapy for the Holistic Health Professional

This 120-hour course focuses on essential aspects using "blending" as a central theme. Initially, students are introduced to many additional oils and their marvelous applications as well as to an ongoing deeper appreciation and knowledge of the theory and history of essential oils.

Essential Oils Massage

Students will learn new Swedish-style strokes to be applied with aromatherapy to dispel tension, restore energy and foster overall well being. Attention will be brought to deepening the understanding of the client-centered approach along with the techniques and applications of this tremendously popular pairing of massage and essential oils. The prerequisites for this course are Swedish Massage I and Essential Oils taken previously or concurrently.
